Renovated to a very high standard, La Lumière Est sleeps up to 11 people in 4 bedrooms plus a sofabed in the lounge. It has its own east-facing terrace with a small separated section serving the downstairs bedroom. In addition, La Lumière Est has its own adjacent garden and dining area which gets the sun throughout the day and evening.

It is positioned close to the shared heated pool where there are plenty of sun loungers for guests’ relaxation.

ACCESSIBILITY: The upper floor is only reachable by stairs. While most ground floor areas are broadly accessible and entry/internal door widths are generous, there are one or two steps to negotiate.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted. PETS: Pets are not permitted.

The minimum booking period is 7 nights.

During peak season (in 2026, Saturday 4 July to Saturday 29 August) we only accept bookings for complete weeks running Saturday to Saturday.

Outside of peak season, we also normally book Saturday to Saturday but please contact us if you wish to ask about different stay lengths and changeover days.

A walk through La Lumière Est

The core gîte space features glazed front doors set within a larger glass frontage and retains the ancient French oak barn doors. These lead to the open plan living area which, in addition to the great aspect, has warm real wood floors, exposed beams and the original stone walls. A large screen TV and DVD
player is located in this space.

Beyond this, there is an open plan dining area with seating for eight, immediately adjacent to a separate, well-equipped, fitted kitchen with an air fryer, burner hob, microwave, large fridge, dishwasher and all the pots, pans and utensils needed for your self-catering holiday.

At the rear of the gîte are the two separate bathrooms with ‘power-showers’, hand-basins and toilets.

Individually designed open-tread staircases lead up to the generous first floor bedrooms; each in its own format featuring French oak beams plus Velux
windows. Two of the three can be set up either as double or twin rooms – the other is a twin.

In line with our eco-friendly approach, hot water is supplied by solar powered and electric boilers and is, thus, plentiful at all times.

Bedroom 1 overlooks the gîte terrace and countryside and, along with bedroom 3, offers completely private space. Bedroom 2, which is located
above the dining room/ lounge, has a more open plan staircase and is ideal for accommodating younger children while adults relax below. Each has
open and hanger-based storage plus bedside cabinets, reading lamps and a fan.

The ensuite double/twin/triple bedroom has its own bathroom, TV/DVD player, small kitchen space (with small fridge, 2 hobs etc.) plus a small dining
table and chairs.
